Our house was a HUGE project. It is a 1950's, 5000 sqft mid-century home that was in dire need of an update. Tom and Susan Lujan of Aesthetic Interiors were terrific. First they interviewed us to get a clear idea of what was important to my husband and I for our desired renovation, then they designed a detailed 3 dimensional computer model of our renovation. We engaged Tom and Sue to help us remodel our kitchen and add a built in buffet to our dining room. The goals for the project were to create more space and to make the kitchen more efficient. Those goals were achieved and then some. Tom and Sue were creative in their design, listened carefully to us, worked closely with the construction team, were honest, and fair in the pricing. There were some glitches (e.g., covid in a couple of the teams engaged to do some of the work) that caused delays but these could not be controlled by them. We are delighted with the results. After we lived in our home for 8 or 9 months we knew we wanted to make some changes. Being new to the area we didn't know any contractors or subs so we decided to start an internet search for a designer. This proved much easier than we had anticipated based on ratings of decorators in the area and our past experience working with a decorator. We knew we wanted someone who had been in the area for several years, had working relationships with several subcontractors and had references we could check. Tom and Sue replied promptly and we identified our projects and a timeframe and cost for each. Our project involved a major bathroom remodel, removal and redesign of cabinets in the bar and kitchen, removal of built in cabinetry in the living room involving wall and floor work, and purchase of new living room and dining room furniture (and refinishing a hutch to match) plus new island stools. Everyone that worked on our project was well qualified, friendly and completed their work within the time specified. We would use any of them again!
